The reputation of stainless steel as a strong, durable and hygienic material is unsurpassed. This reputation is so well founded that stainless steel is mandatory for food and pharmaceutical processing plants, hospitals and other sterile areas, and is used almost exclusively in harsh environments. As Queensland Rail has demonstrated with the construction of its latest trains, and as Stainless Rainwater Tanks has proven with the construction of rainwater tanks, there are few limitations to the versatility of stainless steel. The slight additional cost of a stainless steel rainwater tank over a cheaper product, is more than offset by the increase in value to the property, and the markedly lower maintenance costs associated with a virtually unlimited service life.
Premier's Stainless Steel Tank Warranty
Stainless Rainwater Tanks are manufactured from Grade 304 Stainless Steel, the same grade as kitchen sinks. The durability of this grade of stainless steel is beyond any doubt.
Although for practical purposes, our warranty against corrosion is for twentyfive (25) years, there is no reason why a Stainless Rainwater Tank will not last well beyond this time.
Naturally, the warranty excludes any damage caused by:
Using the tank as a transporter Impact (Tree branches, rocks, bullets, vehicles, etc.). Any force acting on the tank. Any damage caused by storing liquids other than potable water. Any damage caused by undermining of the base of the tank. A marine environment.
While stainless steel is suitable for the storage of almost any liquid, Stainless Rainwater Tankhas specifically designed its tanks for storing potable water only. If the tank is to be used for any other purpose, please consult the manufacturer.
Tanks with a diameter of over 2.5 metres are fitted with a permanent centre roof support. Removal of this support, for any reason, will affect the structural stability of the tank and will also void the warranty.
